1、症状：病兔食欲减退或废绝，肠音减弱或消失，初期排出的粪球少而坚硬，以后则排粪停止。有的兔头颈弯曲，俯视腹部或肛门，表现出排粪迟滞，肠管充满，当肠管阻塞而产生过量气体时，则有“肚胀”现象。严重时粪粒外包有一层白色胶样的物质，尿少而色深（多为棕红色），触摸腹部时，可感到大肠内聚积多量的干硬粪粒。
